Almost since the 2nd day, this website was live I’ve had a tribute page dedicated to one of my favorite all-time TV shows. The show, Have Gun-Will Travel, was a big influence on the young me. So, I created a webpage on this site dedicated to the TV show and to my surprise, it gets a fair amount of traffic each month. Please note that I haven’t updated the pages since 2013, but that shouldn’t be unexpected. I mean, there’s not much new to say about a show that went off the air in 1963. Normally, that would be the end of this post, except it’s not.
I noticed recently that I have more than 20 posts on this site related to Perry Mason. In fact, most of my Perry Mason posts start out with the following sentence: If you’ve followed this blog for any length of time, you’ll realize very quickly that I am a huge Perry Mason fan and a bigger fan of Raymond Burr’s portrayal of the character.
After re-reading a couple of my Perry Mason posts here, I realize the best thing to do would be to create a fan tribute page dedicated to the Raymond Burr led Perry Mason TV-series just as I did for Richard Boone led Have Gun-Will Travel.
So now you’ll see a new top menu item: My All-Time Favorite TV Shows. If you “mouse” over the menu item, you’ll see two new sub-menus:
- Have Gun-Will Travel
- Perry Mason
Each individual submenu tells you something about the program being honored. There are four additional submenus underneath these main menus. These four sub-menus are:
- The Back Story
- Great Episodes
- Other Links
- The Legal Stuff (Copyright notices, etc.).
Anyway, I think I have now excised this demon. Having these tribute pages doesn’t mean I won’t write about these shows on my main blog. It just means I’m a little bit more invested in these shows than I am in other parts of the fandom.
I’m pleased that my site now has two fan tribute pages dedicated to TV shows that influenced my perception of the world.
