This will be my only post this week and it will be an edited repeat of my 2010 Thanksgiving Day post. I ask that you remember those who are serving in our military as you feast on Thanksgiving…
Normally, on Thanksgiving, I wish all who view my blog a joyous and somewhat fattening holiday; and make a reference to the “WKRP in Cincinnati” TV episode where the world discovers that domesticated turkeys can’t fly.
This year will be different. This year, as we American give thanks I ask that you consider the below speech, Lt. General Kelly, USMC, gave on Veterans Day. This was two days after he was notified that his son, 2nd Lt. Robert Kelly, had been killed in Afghanistan.
This year, I ask you to give a special thanks to the brave Americans across the globe who are on watch defending our way of life. May God bless them all.
