In California, where more far-right events are planned, ACLU affiliates are warning that there are limits to what they will defend

The city leaders of Charlottesville, Va., initially refused to grant a permit to the organizers of the white supremacy rally “Unite the Right.” They only backed down when the ACLU filed a lawsuit defending the organization’s right to gather.

Now the ACLU is debating whether there are limits to what they will defend. The Los Angeles Times article is a good read.
