– Well, sometimes fate laughs at me. Not with a snicker, mind you, but with an out and out belly roller. Had been rolling a story around in my head for the last week or so, and had started doing research to get the technical aspects right. Turns out, I shouldn’t have bothered. The essence of my plot was on “Ghost Whispers” last night, so it’s back to the drawing board for me. Like I said, belly laughs.

– The Secret Saturdays’ episode, Cryptid vs. Cryptid, started off slowly but really had a very nice and surprising ending. It is clear that while the Saturday clan has been playing checkers, their arch-nemesis, V.V. Argost, has playing chess. He has constantly been ahead of the Saturdays at every turn and the Saturdays don’t realize how badly they are being outplayed. I love this show!

– One of my favorite comics is Arlo & Janis. The strip by Jimmy Johnson is well written, mature themed and the characters are well developed. The strip below was the first one I ever read and I’ve been following the strip ever since. The strip is located here.

I am more excited about the upcoming Wolverine/ X-Men movie than I am about the new Star Trek movie. This means I’ll probably see them both, but anticipate being more disappointed by Trek than Wolverine. Don’t have a good reason why, just know that will be my reality. *deep sigh*

It is too early for my annual baseball post, but the San Diego Padres are playing better baseball this year than they have in the last three years. I am afraid to get too excited about them, but they are really looking good. Hope they have a good year.
ETA: As soon as I say positive about the best minor league team in the majors, they get beat badly by Pittsburgh. Go figure!
