One of the great sins of the decade is that Warner Brothers has never seen fit to release a box set of Static Shock. The series, which ran from September 2000 to May 2004, produced a total of 52 episodes. And yet, this award winning African-American centric series has never gotten the respect from Warner Brothers that the rest of the DCAU series have.
However, at least now, I have an opportunity to build my library of Static Shock episodes. The Toon Disnsey channel (now called Disney XD), has been airing the episodes since mid-February. So little by little, I am building my library of this show. But, I want Warner Brothers to know, I am still willing to do my part to improve the economy if they will do the right thing and release the box set. I think it’s a win-win for everyone concerned.
