On January 11, 2009, I decided that I would continue to blog, but only on my own site (this one). The “joy value” as I called it then was minimal because I had to learn different formats and commands to post to three different sites where I maintained a blog. Thus, I settled for one blog, one post. No more simulcasting.
Then about a week ago, a colleague told me about Windows Live Writer. Oh. My. God!
This thing is freaking wonderful. It can publish to Livejournal, Blogger and WordPress (and other formats I don’t use). You have complete control over pictures and formatting and the entries across the medium can look alike.
Now I didn’t tell my friend this, but I used Live Writer (or whatever MS called it then) back in 2006. My experience with it was so bad, I buried it deep in my subconscious and continued to use MS Word as my editor of choice. But, my oh my, what a difference three years made. The last two post made on my site have been with Live Writer and I will never look back. Way to go, Microsoft. And a big thank you to my colleague for suggesting I revisit this program.
Bill
glad you like it (again)
