On May 10th and May 12th of this year, a really great website called Pants are Overrated, did a fantastic homage to the Bill Watterson’s classic strip, “Calvin and Hobbes,” entitled “Hobbes and Bacon.” The strips are funny and brilliantly done and makes me miss Mr. Watterson’s strip all the more.
It is possible that some who read the two comics may feel that the brother team of Tom & Dan Heyerman didn’t capture “Calvin and Hobbes” as they might remember them. For those folks, I’m recommending you read a really well done piece of fan fiction entitled, The Lengthy Dimly Lit Coffee Break of the Psyche by a talented author known as dotfic. After you’re done reading her tale, you’ll agree that what the PAO team did is not only possible, but highly realistic and most importantly, as enjoyable as heck. Check them out, you can’t help but smile.
