Dinner with a friend

The internet and LJ in particular, allows people across the world to bond through their computer and call each other friend. But nothing beats real life, face to face meeting between two people, especially, if their previous interaction had been only via the internet.

Last night, my Most Significant Other (MSO) and I had dinner with xffan_2000 and her husband. It was the second time this year we’ve gotten together and I enjoyed last night as much as I did our first meeting eight months ago.

xffan_2000 and her husband were wonderful, funny and marvelous dinner companions. When we left the restaurant, my MSO commented, “I really, really like them.” The extra “really” is high praise from her.

It’s funny how life works sometimes. If I hadn’t watched the JLU episode, “Starcrossed” two years ago, I wouldn’t have this journal and I seriously doubt I would had pasta and chicken last night with two fascinating people from Florida who I look forward to seeing again in the spring. 😀
