Didn’t Mean to Be Away So Long…

Realized that I haven’t updated in a while so…

– Am really beginning to like Batman: The Brave and the Bold.  The animation is so 60’s comic book, I really smile every time I watch the program. This Batman is not the wonderful Kevin Conroy one of the DCAU, but he is good enough to make me look past that. The writing is good and the animation itself is not hard to look at, as was the case of  The Batman, in my opinion.

– Got a comment back from a reader that I deleted regarding my post on the Secret Saturdays suggesting, among other things, that the Saturdays aren’t an interracial couple and used the term ‘breeding’ in reference to the family relationship.  For the record, my comments are based on visual evidence; the series creator, Jay Stephen’s own comments in his Blog,  and the pilot, “The Kur Stone,” which includes flashback of Doc and Drew before Zak was born. However, to resolve the issue as firmly as I am willing to, I changed the picture which accompanied my post to the one used by AnimationInsider.net in their review of the series which should remove any doubt.  On a related note, new Secret Saturday episodes will start airing on April 10, 2009. Yes, I am jazzed about that.

– With my most significant other visiting the oldest child and her family on the east coast over the last three weeks, I’ve had plenty of opportunities to revive my cooking skills. One of the best things, I’ve cooked over the last three weeks was this recipe from “Good Eats” on the Food Network.  No lie, this meal is to die for.

– Added a terabyte hard drive to my MediaServer which I wrote about here .  Its purpose? To back up the files on the server itself.  While the server automatically backs up all of the machines, backing up those files on the server gives me a sense of added security. Yes I see the flaw in the plan, but the operative words are: sense of security. Besides, the flashing lights are pretty.

So, until the next time.  🙂
