Comic-Con has been a staple of San Diego county summers for more than 40 years. It has become the “go to” venue on the West Coast during the summer and tickets are harder to get than play-off football tickets in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Oddly enough, I’ve never found the time to make it to this 4-day event and on the occasions when I’ve decided to go, the event was sold out. But a man is known by the company he keeps and the loyalty of his friends. And I must be keeping good company because once again I got a great goody bag from my friend who goes religiously every year to this event.
This year, in addition to the 2011 souvenir book, I also got Captain America (issue #1) which I am completely jazzed about.
Sadly, because there are so many creepy people in the world, I won’t name my friend, but I have directed her to this post and I want to say publicly and loudly, “Thank you so much!! These gifts made my year!”
