Carrying on with my tradition of closing out my end of year post with music, this year will feature the a cappella group, Pentatonix. However, breaking from past years postings, I’m not providing a full concert of the performer, but rather this time two song clips that reflect my approach and hope for the coming new year.
For the most part, 2019 was on par with my 2018 year and offered challenges that I either met successfully or am holding at bay. With the new year come the knowledge that I have many more day behind me than I have in front of me. Thus, this will be my last year-end post with music and goal setting on this blog site.
I expect to meet the year 2020 and any that follow head on with my head held high and a resolve that comes from knowing that John Wesley was right.
The two Pentatonix songs I have selected are their rendition of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody and Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah. These songs reflect my present mood and my attitude moving forward into the new year. Thus, I will continue to pay more attention to the music of my own life and no attention to the noise of others.
Happy New Year! I’ll return to regular posting (as regular as I’m going to get) in mid-February 2020.
