As 2012 comes to a close, I decided that my last post of the year would not be about looking forward as my end of year posts traditionally are; but, rather about sharing a personal reflection.
2012 was big year of personal change for me. I retired from work and moved from California to Georgia. I’d love to say that the past year was easy, but the truth is, it wasn’t – not at all. Nevertheless, I remain convinced that we must always look forward regardless of how dark things may seem because tomorrow will always better today.
In past years, I’ve welcomed in the new year with Teena Marie and Fleetwood Mac. This year, I welcome 2013 with the late Gerry Rafferty’s “Get It Right Next Time.” This will be my mantra in 2013. Because like the song says: “…if you get it wrong, you’ll get it right next time.”
Happy New Year! I’ll be back to a regular posting schedule starting January 8, 2013!
