In Alan Moore's rejected proposal entitled "Twilight of the Superheroes," the DC Comic family of superheroes and villains were put into one of nine "Houses." Two of the "Houses" were the "House of Steel" and the House of Lantern.

As described in Moore's proposal, Superman dominates the eastern seaboard with Wonder Woman, and their children, Superboy and Supergirl in the "House of Steel." Wonder Woman in the proposal called herself Superwoman.

In the proposal, the "House of Lantern" consisted of the heroes who were exiled as agents of alien powers, to include the Green Lanterns, the Thanagarians, the Martians and the Ranns.

My "House of Steel" stories are the tales of the animated Justice Lords. In these stories, which take place in the time and dimension known as the "Betterverse" or the world of the Justice Lords as described in Stan Berkowitz' JLA:TAS story: "A Better World," Diana and Superman are not married and have no children. They are, however, more than friends and she still answers to the name, Wonder Woman.

My Justice Lords stories take place in the two year period between the death of President Luthor and the events chronicled in "A Better World."

My "House of Lantern" stories feature the animated characters: Green Lantern (John Stewart), Hawkgirl (the Thanagarian, Shayera Hol) and the Martian Manhunter (J'onn J'onzz). My "House of Lantern" stories, when read in the order listed on the Lantern page are consistent with the general arc of the Justice League Unlimited: The Animated Series.

Just an author's note, because I don't want there to be any confusion between the way I group the DC heroes in order to write about them and way Mr. Moore supposedly intended to use them in his rejected proposal.
