Happy Mother’s Day 2013

This Sunday, May 12th, is Mother Day in the United States. My mom is no longer here for me to give her this wish, but if she was, I’d thank her for teaching me:

– to look both ways before crossing the street or making major life decisions.

– to tie up my own shoes and as many loose ends as possible before moving on.

– not to blame my brother or anyone else for the things I do or fail to do.

– the sequence for dressing myself and how to recognize success no matter what shape it takes.

– that she gave me life and my father gave me his name and I was to do nothing that made either one regret their contribution to the gene pool.

– that others will love me, but she loved me first.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Nice post Bill. I have always admired the way you think and you are articulate as always. My Mother’s Day post would read more or less like this, “Dear Mom, thanks for putting up with my sh*t and not killing me.”

    • Thank for reading…and oh, for the record, my Mom got plenty cards from me that thanked her for not killing me early on when she had the opportunity. Again, thanks for reading… 🙂
