It’s been a while since I recommended a website, but I think I found a good one to tell you about in this post.
The website is EdSteinInk.com. It’s the personal website of Ed Stein, creator of the comic strip, Freshly Squeezed and the former editorial cartoonist of the now defunct Rocky Mountain News. I happened upon the website by way of the comic.
Freshly Squeezed is the story of three generations of one family living in one house due to a crumbling economy. There are the inevitable culture clashes and arguments among the household members, but this is a family that cares about itself and that’s what make this strip entertaining. There’s humor in every strip, but it also touches upon more serious issues such as religion, politics and child raising.
Mr. Stein’s personal website is thought-provoking with essays that make fun of the modern world. If you want to know Mr. Stein’s opinion of the “Sequester of 2013” or the Senate delay in the confirmation of Secretary of Defense Hagel – this is the place.
Now, I’ll be honest with you. Some people tend to classify bloggers as either conservative or liberal in their vent and won’t read anything that doesn’t share their own personal politics. So, here’s a heads up – if you feel that you must classify a blog before you read it, then you’d probably classify Mr. Stein’s as being in a liberal vein. However, regardless of your politics, I would urge you to give Mr. Stein’s blog a read.
There’s humor in life and in every political situation. Mr. Stein, via his comic and his blog does a very good job of pointing those things out to us. Highly recommend you read his blog (and his comic). You won’t be disappointed.
