Hello. Thanks for taking my call. Long time fan, frequent caller.
I see that you think you have a problem in the outfield and need a corner fielder. So you trade for the very volatile and temperamental Milton Bradley in exchange for a minor league pitcher. Well, good for you. He plays decent defense and has a good bat. Of course, you did make the trade contingent upon him passing a physical before you finalized the deal, right? I mean, after all, he’s spent most of the season on the DL and in fact was still on the DL when you agreed to the trade.
Oh…you didn’t require a physical.
I see.
Well then, did you activate the interlock? Did you check the dynotherms to make sure they’re connected? Are the infracells in the up position? What about the mega-thrusters? Are they “Go”? You can’t form Voltron without doing those things and you shouldn’t trade for a player who might not pass a physical, especially when that player brings as much baggage to the table as Bradley does.
Trading for Michael Barrett was good. You desperately need someone who can throw out stealing base runners. But, trading for Bradley is like trying to form Voltron with the dynotherms not connected. It’s just a bad idea and it won’t do what you want done. Thanks for listening and have a nice season.
