Recently realized that it had been sometime (about six weeks) since I posted anything in my journal that wasn’t fanfic or a birthday greeting so for the few that might be interested:
(There will be no cut to this, so if you are offended by the lack of cut – Sorry.)
– Spent time in the hospital because of flu-like illness. Have recovered from the illness, but still undergoing testing. Only passed this info to explain absence, not to request sympathy or best wishes for speedy recovery. (Those things are always assumed.) 🙂

– In my opinion (note the lack of the word ‘humble’), the best written program on TV today is a wonderful piece of anime entitled, “Blood Plus.” The dialog is smart, the characters care for each other and the premise is very original (at least to me). I will be sad when this program ends this month, but this tale of two sisters, Saya and Diva, of which one must die for mankind to live has captured my imagination and my heart.

– I generally don’t talk about my work, but in short I manage an organization of 63 people. (And yes, I am very well compensated.) One of my employees, who has only worked for me for two years, was recently given a 30 year award. He was so touched that all 63 people in my organization showed up for his award, that three weeks later he threw a lunch party for his fellow employees that included two roasted pigs, 80 steaks, baked potatoes, salad, cake and champagne. His desire to show his appreciation to the people he works with was so unexpected and the thought that these people care about each other so much is personally rewarding.

– The Batman series finale, “Lost Heroes” was pretty good. The thing I enjoyed the most was that Batgirl got to work with the League. That moment had never occurred before in any version of Justice League to include Superfriends or in any animated Batman. Nice series send off.

– Finally, my most significant other will have shoulder surgery on Tuesday. So I will be out of pocket for the next couple of days. If I owe you email, I’ll get to it before the end of the week. (For , your package is already in the mail.)
I return you to your internet! 🙂
